Coleman (Bus)

Bus passed away suddenly October 11, 2010 at the age of 85 years. He was born July 26, 1925 in Vancouver, BC. Bus is survived by his wife, Denise, his brother Jack, his two sons, Paul and Mike and their wives, Gina and Lisa, as well as his precious granddaughter, Katie.

Bus graduated from Lord Bing High School in Vancouver. He joined the Navy early 1945 just after finishing high school. The year the war ended, Bus went to UBC as a veteran where he eventually graduated with a degree in agriculture. Bus started his career at first with Buckerfields and then Canadian Packers as a sales rep but decided early on that he wanted to go into business on his own. He moved to Chilliwack and started up LC Feeds and later, LC Pallet and Lumber, which he ran for many years. He was the consummate salesperson and never at a loss for words.

Bus loved to garden, golf and was a long time member of Chilliwack Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed playing poker with his pals at Edenbank. He will be sincerely missed by his family and close friends.

A private memorial to celebrate Bus’s life will be held for family and close friends on October 30, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Upper Fraser Valley Salvation Army.
