With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Clifford William Blair. He passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Chilliwack General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Jean, and his two sons, Brian and daughter-in-law Nancy, Colin and daughter-in-law Jennifer and cherished granddaughter Kaitlyn. He also leaves behind his sister Gail, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cliff was born in Port Arthur, Ontario and as a young boy moved with his family to Burnaby, BC.

He graduated from Burnaby South and went on to BCIT to become a pipefitter. He worked on many projects in BC and Alberta including the Metro Town Center in Burnaby, Eaton’s Center in Victoria and UNBC in Prince George.

He lived on our hobby farm in Langley for many years and especially enjoyed spring time when the young calves were born. After retirement he moved to Rosedale, BC

His family was important to him. He was very proud of his sons and was involved in all of their activities from soccer, softball, rugby, swimming and fishing to scouting. He loved restoring and driving his model A’s and was a proud long-time member of the Pacific Model A Club.

He will be greatly missed but will be remembered for his kindness, loving nature, mischievous sense of humour and ability to cherish family, friends and life.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the BC Children’s Hospital or the BC Cancer Foundation.

Thank you to Dr. Oostenbrink, the staff of the Chilliwack General Hospital and the Chilliwack Home Health Care for their excellent care of Cliff and kindness to the entire family.

A memorial Service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 46048 Gore Avenue, Chilliwack, on May 23, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.
