(nee Bengert)

Clara Margaret (nee Bengert) Marcotte passed away on June 20, 2008 in Chilliwack, BC at the young age of 80 years. She was born on August 10, 1927 in Oldfast, Saskatchewan and later moved to Prince George, BC.

It was when she moved to Vancouver, BC that she met her beloved husband of 53 years, Bruno. Bruno helped raise Glen, Clara’s youngest son in Vancouver, until they retreated to a seven-acre hobby farm in Chilliwack in 1968.

In 1967, Clara devoted her life to raising her son with Bruno on the farm and became a homemaker. She spent her days being a dedicated “TOPS” member and eventually reaching top honour of becoming a “KOP”. Most of her nights were spent sitting next to Bruno knitting beautiful works of art, such as afghans, scarves, baby blankets and clothing.

Clara, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, is survived by her husband Bruno; her four children: Marlene, Cathie, Pat and Glen; her grandchildren:Kurt, Nicole, Matt, Tim, Jamie, Michelle and Danielle; as well as loving daughters-in-law: Penny and Lynn.

Clara and Bruno lived an active life together and enjoyed the camaraderie of the many friend they made along the way
