Christopher passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at his home in Rosedale, which was the only place he ever truly wanted to be. He suffered a massive heart attack, paying the ultimate price from the relentless stress and fear of losing our home, which he loved so much.

Chris would have been 50 in May of this year. He was born in Newcastle, New Brunswick but lived in many other places before he settled in Rosedale in 1991 with the woman he determined to marry. Chris is survived by the love of his life and soul mate, Vickie Legere; step-children Patience and Donnie Addley; and much beloved grandchildren: Lyric, (Chilliwack), Tessa and Anthoney (mom, Tiffaney - Calgary).

Chris was a man of many loves (wife, step-children and grandchildren, pets, music, cooking, reading, volunteer work, live theatre and photography); he was a man of many skills (welding, woodworking, driving and all around handy-man). Chris could do a man’s work and then turn around and gently rescue an injured bird.  Chris was a man of integrity and honor and always meant the best in whatever he tried to do. Chris was also a friend of Bill W.

A ceremony of letting go, will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 5:30 pm, at the Fraser River under the Rosedale/Agassiz Bridge (turn right at the gravel pit off #9 Highway - the road will be marked).

Refreshments and a memorial will follow at the Rosedale United Church Hall. (51351 Yale Rd. East, Rosedale) at 6:15 pm.
