Christina Isabelle Beamin passed away suddenly on Monday, April 26, 2004 at the Chilliwack Hospital at the age of 90 years. She was born September 24, 1913 in Tummel, Man.
Chris moved to the Okanagan with family and friends in the early 1930’s. Chris met her late husband George in Manitoba where they were married. They moved to Ontario for a short period before settling in Chilliwack, BC. Chris and George had been married 65 years.
Chris was very active in Job’s Daughters, Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, and Atchelitz Ladies Institute. Chris was a real homemaker and great cook, and very involved with the catering for the Masonic Hall.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Chris was predeceased by her husband George in 2003, and is the last survivor of a large family.
She is survived by daughter Sharon (Wayne); sons Charles (Mary Ellen) and Brook (Sandra); grandchildren Scott (Kerry), Cheryl (Dennis), Ryan (Joanne), and Craig (Carly); great grandchildren Ashley, Corey, Blair, Cole, Sam, and Riley; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack with Father Tassinari officiating.
