Charles Dougal Davis passed away peacefully on August 9, 2012 at Eden Care Home at the age of 94 years. Dougal was born and raised on the family farm where he lived until moving into Eden Care Home in 2009. His stories about the war and his knowledge and expertise about the farm will remain with his family and they continue his legacy on the farm. Dougal served in the war overseas as an airplane mechanic. When he got home, he met and married the love of his life, Adeline Davis. Dougal worked for Klassen Equipment for many years assembling and delivering equipment. At home, he always kept the equipment maintained and in working order. Dougal loved playing golf and was awarded many trophies over the years. Dougal is survived by his son William (Shirley) Davis and grandchild Will (Shanda) Davis and great grandchildren Blake and Ty Davis; his daughter Mary Newton and grandchildren Tim Perkins and Lisa Davis and great grandchildren Stephanie Giroux, Keira Walker and great great grandchild Cali Higgins-Giroux. He is sadly predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years in 2007, Adeline Davis and his brother Jim Davis. As per Dougal’s wishes, there will be no service. His remains will be buried beside his wife under their favorite tree on the family farm.
