C. Lenore DRADER (nee McNair)

C. Lenore Drader (nee McNair) April 6, 1919 - March 20, 2003. Passed away suddenly after a brief illness. Lenore was born and raised in Rosedale and later moved to Chilliwack where she spent all of her life.

She worked many years for Woolworths and later at Eatons. She enjoyed outdoor activities with her husband, which included camping and fishing. Vacations in Hawaii were a highlight of her life. Lenore was an active senior citizen taking part in bowling, senior’s club, and social events. She was a member of the Chilliwack Alliance Church, and very active in the church clubs, especially the 55 group. The church, family and friends were very important to her.

Interment will take place on Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at Chilliwack Cemeteries with the procession leaving Henderson’s Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 2 p.m. at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, Rev. Harald Throness officiating.

Lenore is survived by her daughters, DeVee (Rudy) Walde, Daryl (Wally) Schroeder, and Vivian (Larry) Anderson; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Bailey and Dawn Daley; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband W.C. (Bill) Drader in 2001; brother Wes McNair; and two sisters, Vivian Stachera, and Emma Maitland.

Should family and friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
