Bryon McCLAREN

Bryon McClaren passed away on July 20, 2005 at Chilliwack BC at 95 years of age. He was born in Portland, Oregon.

Bryon is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Margaret; sons Milton and Murray; grandchildren, Alexa and Erica; nieces Mary and Edna. He was predeceased by his brother Colin and sister, Elsie.

Bryon worked for 25 years at Western Wholesale Drugs (Cunningham Drugs) as a purchasing agent. He also worked as a carpenter, air rigger with Boeing and in the wholesale food business. He attended Vancouver Technical High School.

He enjoyed his 50 years of golf, celebrating his 91st birthday playin 18 holes at Kinkora Golf Course. He also enjoyed camping, Fishing and gardening. He was a passionate card player and cribbage champion. Bryon considered himself very fortunate to have enjoyed excellent health until this last year which he spent at Eden Intermediate Care Facility. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care and affection shown to Bryon by the staff. We also wish to extend our thanks to Dr. Brodie for his care and concern.

At Bryon’s request , there will be no service. A private memorial service will be held at a late date. In lieu of flowers gratefully declined, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
