Bruno Marcotte passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Chilliwack, BC at age 80 years. He was born May 28, 1928 at Barraute, Quebec. Bruno is survived by his son Glen and daughter-in-law, Lin; granddaughters Michelle and Danielle and their mother, Penny.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Clara and brother Claude.
Bruno travelled west from Quebec as a young man looking for a start in life. He became interested in hydro construction and joined the IBEW in 1953. After 35 years building hydro lines around the province, he retired at age 60. It was in Vancouver that he met his beloved wife of 53 years, Clara. Bruno helped raise Glen, Clara’s son, in Vancouver and later at their seven acre hobby farm in Greendale. Bruno and Clara enjoyed an active life together with the camaraderie of the many friends they made along the way.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 1:30 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC; Pastor Tim Rowan officiant.
