Brigitte MICKLER

April 23, 2003

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Brigitte Mickler, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, Omi, and friend.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Herbert; son Roland (Paula); daughters, Tina (Steve) and Shirley (Ed and children, Kim and Dan); and her grandchildren, the apples of her eye, Kira and Jordan.

The second oldest of nine children, she leaves behind loving sisters, Helga, Ingrid (Ulrich), Elise (Earl), and Christiane (Wolfgang); and her loving brothers, Klaus Uwe (Michelle), Harry (Maureen), and Horst (Anne).

She was greatly loved by her many nieces and nephews, and leaves them with many special family memories that will be shared through future generations. Her legacy will be the love of her family and her capacity for unconditional love. Her strongest quality was her big heart, which ultimately failed her in the end.

She was born September 14, 1932 in Deutsch-Eylau, Germany, and passed away on April 23, 2003 in the Chilliwack General Hospital.

Service of Remembrance will be held at the chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, Friday, May 2, 2003 at 3 p.m. Rusty Reimer officiating. Cremation to follow.

If friends so desire, donations to the B.C. Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made in Brigitte’s name.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. MacLeod and Dr. Son. Also to all the nurses who treated her with dignity and a gentle touch that helped make her last days as comfortable as possible.
