Bev Monkman passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on July 11th, 2010 at the age of 74 years.
He was predeceased by one son Kevin in 1987. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 53 years Donna, son Barry (Rose), 2 daughters Laurie (Colin Knox) McKay and Linda Richards; 4 grandchildren Shane & Todd Monkman and Shawna & Cory McKay. He is also survived by one sister Gail Bonnet and many extended family and friends.
Bev was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta . He relocated from Calgary to Abbotsford in 1976 and worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Tillbury Cement Company until retirement in 1998. He spent his retirement years enjoying his summer home at Harrison Hot Springs Holiday Park. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd. Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation.
