Mr. Bertrick (Bert) Mathew Hill, age 951?2 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, July 7, 2006 at MSA hospital.
He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Mabel of 62 years, in 1998, five brothers and two sisters. Dad is survived by his son, Dennis (Linda); son, Melvin; daughter, Lorraine Carrier; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grand-children; one great-great-grandson; and one brother Alfred.
Dad was born in Gilford, County Down, Ireland in 1910, and was brought to Canada by his father in the early 1920s. Dad learned from an early age to always care for others before himself. Even though his stature was small, his heart was enormous.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Dad touched the heart of everyone he met.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday July 15, 2006 at 1:00 pm from Henderson’s Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford with Rev. Wayne Wattman officiating.
