Bertha (Bert) Penny (nee Young) gently passed into the presence of her Lord on January 9, 2003 at Chilliwack Hospital, at age 81 years. She was born August 17, 1921 in Redditt, Ont.
She is survived by daughter Lucretia (Lucy) Henderson; grandsons, Earle (Lisa) Henderson, and Brett Henderson; granddaughter Kirsten (Jules Burt) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Kailie and Carter Henderson, and Parker Henderson-Burt, who were the light and joy of her life; nephews, Jim Stinson and Fred Goodchild; niece Noni Mathews; and many friends.
Bert was predeceased by her husband Charles; daughter Ketia; siblings, Walter Young, Catherine Goodchild, Iris Stinson, and Phyllis Fors.
