It is with great sadness, after a brief battle with cancer, we announce the passing of our Dad and Grandpa Barry Mitchell on October 21st, 2008 at Chilliwack General Hospital with his family by his side, at the age of 73 years. He was born on March 15th, 1935 in Strongfield, Saskatchewan. Dad enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips he took with his family, friends, and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Frances A. Mitchell on July 13th 2008. He is survived by his children Debbie (Ken), John (Sandy), Tammy (Rusty), Tracy (Rob), sister Iris (Cliff) Cheek, brothers Don (Fran) Mitchell and Bob (Agnes) Mitchell, brother in law Ben Murray and friend Roy Wilson and grandchildren Dean, Jason, Wayde, Logan, Hailey, and Jarrett.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at John and Sandy’s home – 8653 Elm Drive, Chilliwack - on Saturday, November 1st, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
