(nee Hull)

(June 10, 1928 - April 27, 2009)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Eric Creber; her four children: Ron Creber (Barb), Anne Girbav (Lloyd Martin), Neil Creber (Linda) and Alan Creber (Carrie); grandsons: Eric Creber (Sheryl), David and Jeff Creber; Scott, Stephen and Sheldon Girbav; granddaughters: Chelsea, Chantel and Carey Creber; two great granddaughters: Reese Ziprick and Savannah Creber. She is also survived by her sisters: Mary Draper and Maureen (Preston) Johnson; brother, Bernard Hull; sisters-in-law: Mabel and Cathy Hull as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved pets, Mindy and Mandy.

Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Annie Hull; brothers, George and Norman; sister, Winnie and her dear Aunt Mary.

Mom was born June 10, 1928 at Norgate, Manitoba and resided there until she married her husband Eric in 1946. They settled in Chilliwack, raising their children on the family farm. Mom loved her flower and vegetable gardens and she always grew more than enough for the family and sold cucumbers and corn for many years.

Mom was also a fantastic cook and her pies were unforgettable. During the winter months Mom would always be sewing and quilting. She made beautiful quilts to give to her family members. Family get-togethers were always important to her and she looked forward to hosting the entire family and close friends for the Christmas meal.

When her children were young, Audrey taught Sunday School at Mount Shannon United Church. Mom was also a long-time member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. In Audrey’s later years, she and Eric were able to enjoy some traveling and went on several ocean cruises as well as a cross-Canada road trip.

Mom and Dad spent many, many hours working on and enjoying the family cabin at Canim Lake.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack with Pastor Graeme Isbister officiating. A reception will follow the service.

Any donations in Audrey’s memory can be made to Chilliwack Community Services or a charity of your choice.
