Anita Magdelene was born on September 13, 1946 in Freising, Germany, and passed away in the early morning of June 6, 2003.

She is survived by her husband Alvin Born; children, Paul (Carmen) Born, Tony (Kelly) Rahnborn, Carla (Ken) Goertzen, and Angela (Jonathan) Froese; seven grandchildren; her father Anton (Margaret) Lind; sister Caroline (Manfred) Harder; and one brother Ron (Darlene) Lind.

She was predeceased by her husband Theodor Peter Rahn in 1979; and her mother Helen Lind in 1993.

She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends, and a long list of kindred spirits.

Services were held on Monday, June 9, 2003 at Chilliwack Alliance Church, where many friends and family came to honour Anita’s life.

Anita was an outgoing woman with a smile that was contagious and it reflected her heart. She had a strong faith and loved to worship God through music.

Her grandchildren loved her and she spent much of her energy on them. She always believed that her children were capable of great things and she strongly supported their endeavours.

Anita made friends very easily, she was a wonderful cook, and she loved to keep her house in picture perfect order. Anita saw the best in people and overlooked many faults. She enjoyed looking beautiful and will always be remembered for her love of denim.
