Andrew (Andy) TATARYN

June 24, 2004

Nov. 5, 1915 — June 24, 2004

Andy Tataryn passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital after an extended struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was predeceased by his wife Eileen (Gurniak) in 1981.

Andy Tataryn is survived by his daughters Vickie Duperron, Leona (Lorne) Bustin, Phyllis (Bob) Terris, Ida Hobbs, Shirley (Bob) Davis, Aneeta (Robin) Leclair, Ivy (Gary) Baker, Lorette Tataryn and son Lawrence (Sahara-Lea Tosdevine) Tataryn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a large extended family across Canada.

Grateful thanks are extended to the supportive staff at Langley Memorial Hospital and previous caregivers at Jackman Manor and Bevan Lodge.

Andy will be remembered as a kind, generous person who enjoyed life through social circles, love of trains, gardening, auctions and family. His good sense of humour made “Andy Pandy” a delightful companion in many family activities — work bees, traveling, parties, fishing trips, etc.

Services to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, B.C. on Wednesday, June 30th, 2004 at 2:30 pm. Donations to the Jackman Manor or Langley Memorial Hospital Extended Care in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
