Passed away peacefully on September 1st in his 76th year after a year and a half battle with cancer. He was born in Victoria B.C. on May 4, 1930.
Allen will be dearly missed by his loving family, wife Janet, children, John ( Cindy) of Maple Ridge, Jay (Cynthia) of Vancouver, Jim (Linda) of Maple Ridge, Carol (Lance) of Vernon, Joanne (Gregg) of Chilliwack, Lori ( Greg) of Maple Ridge, Sandra (Steve) of Palm Springs, His 9 grandchildren Sarah, Ashley, Kyle, Ryan, Charmayne, Dominic, Jordan Dylan, Brodie and his Great grandson Sam.
During his 35 year career as a Pharmacist, he worked at Lion’s Gate and Maple Ridge Hospitals as a Department head.
Since retirement in 1990, he and Jan have enjoyed spending their winters traveling the southern states. Allen will always be remembered for his gift of teaching and his sense of humor.
A special thanks to Dr. Gordon Enns and the staff at Chilliwack Hospital for the wonderful care he received during his many admissions.
A memorial service will be held at the Sardis Community Church, 45625 South Sumas rd. Chilliwack, B.C. on September 7th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made for a memorial bench at Minter Gardens, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
