Alexander Lorne GLEIG

February 6, 2003

Alexander Lorne Gleig, Abbotsford, went to be with the Lord at home, in his 54th year on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, following a valiant battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his father Bruce Gleig, he is survived by his loving wife Elaine; step-daughters: Tamara Logan and fiance, Keith Lee, and Nicole (Eric) Janzen; granddaughter, Katherine Janzen; mother, Viola Boyd; step-father, Denis Boyd; mother-in-law, Mary Norman; sister, Carol Banman; nephews: Bruce (Sharon) Banman, and Scott (Ann) Banman, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorne was involved for many years with the International Order of Demolay, was an avid hockey fan and in his youth, played guitar in a small band. His most recent hobby of photography gave him the opportunity to study the mountains he loved much.

In his chosen career as a computer programmer, technologist and salesman, he would work tirelessly to assist his customers. A kind and gentle man, willing to help others in any way he could, Lorne will be dearly missed by family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 23437 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
