Alex Vorrath passed away on June 3, 2008 in Chilliwack, BC at age 100 years. He was born December 11, 1907 in Laub, Russia.

Alex is survived by Eva, his loving wife of 56 years; his son, Ron (Nancy) of San Diego, CA; daughter, Judy (Trevor) Secomb of Adelaide, Australia; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Eydie Vorrath of Calgary, AB.

Alex was predeceased by his first wife Lena (1950) and son Gary (2003). He was the last of a family of four boys and three girls.

Alex emigrated to Canada in October, 1925 and settled in the Beiseker area of Alberta. He was a motor mechanic and farmer. He retired to Calgary in 1967 and then to Chilliwack in 1980. Alex was an avid fisherman and enjoyed travelling to Europe, Australia and around the US. He will be greatly missed.

Alex wishes to be remembered as a soul saved by God’s Grace. He is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
