Our dear friend, Agnes, passed away peacefully at Cascade Lodge, Tuesday, April 16, 2007 at the age of 89.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Bell in April 1986. She is survived by her step-son Raymond Bell of Surrey, her step-grandsons Jeremy (Wendy) of Vernon BC and Richard of Sooke BC and five step-great grandchildren and numerous relations in Galway, County Mayo and Wexford, Ireland. She will be sadly missed by her “other” family, Pat and Richard Gill and family.
Agnes was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on March 2, 1918 and her early education was at the Sacred Heart Convent in St. Adolphe, Manitoba and was completed in Selkirk, Manitoba.
Agnes was very active in her church and enjoyed people. Among her interests and hobbies was her love for cats and dogs, crafts, music and playing cards and was an avid reader. She enjoyed travelling and a highlight trip was to go to Ireland to visit her relatives.
Prayers will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 7:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday April 24, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s, celebrant Father Paul Than Bui, with a tea to follow at the St. Mary’s Hall.
Pall Bearers will be Raymond Bell, Victor Gill, David Gill, Wallace Mitchell, Mark Hryciw, Ardell Bourgeois. Honourary Bearers will be Richard Gill and Landon Gill.
Donations in memory of Agnes may be made to charity of your choice.
