Agatha E. Wiebe, born March 30, 1912 in Nieder Chortitza, Russia, passed away July 17, 2008 at the age of 96 at Menno Extended Care Hospital in Abbotsford, late of Sardis and Chilliwack.
She is survived by son Vic (Karnet), Gabriola, BC; daughter Joanne (Michael Connelly), New Westminster, BC; son Ron (Johanna), Surrey, BC; 8 grandchildren: Paul (Julie), Courtenay, BC; Andrea (Nick Beck), Cincinnati, Ohio; Heidi (Erik Dier), Delta, BC; Sharon, Surrey, BC; Heather, New Westminster, BC; Carmen, Langley, BC; Mark and Daryl, Surrey, BC; 5 great-grandchildren: Brynn Wiebe, Emma and Anna Beck, Carter and Madeleine Dier; 3 sisters-in-law: Josie Pankratz, Chilliwack; Audrey Pankratz, Ontario; Audrey Ady, Edmonton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by husband Peter in January 2000 and by all her younger siblings, sister Mary, brothers Bill, Hank and Irwin.
The love and generosity of our parents and the example of their Christian-based lives will always be our cherished memories.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm at First Mennonite Church Greendale, 42369 South Sumas Road, Chillwack, BC with Pastor George Hoeppner officiating. A private family interment will be held at Little Mountain Cemetery.
