Adrianus Jan (John) PLAISIER

March 25,1918 - October 26, 2004

John immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1955 with his wife and children. He was a man who loved the challenges of life and lived it to the fullest.

He leaves to mourn, his wife Sophia; his children, Hank (Vicki), Mieke (Tony), Nel (Mario), John (Carol), and Stan (Debbie).

John was predeceased by two brothers, Piet and Cornelius; one sister Marie; his first wife Teuntje; and his second wife Elizabeth, who brought two daughters, Lonny (Joffre), and Lorelei (Tom) into the family.

He will be missed by his sister Trijntje, his remaining family including nieces, nephews, in-laws; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and his friends across North America and the Netherlands.

A service to reflect on John’s life will be held Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Appel Funeral Home/Central Memorial Chapel, 10530-116 St., Edmonton, 780-454-8088. “Our Family Serving Your Family.’’
