Adriana “Jeanne” Vervoort, passed away Nov. 24, 2003
Jeanne was born May 3, 1927 in Utrecht, Holland and came to Canada Jan. 3, 1951 and settled in Ottawa.
Over the years the family has lived in all areas of Canada, from coast to coast. She was a very special person with a wide circle of friends. She was always smiling and made friends very easily.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Celebrant, Fr. Gary Gordon.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 57 years, William; children Catharina (Brian) Wood of Surrey; Gerardus “Gerry” (Donna Neubauer) Vervoort
of Victoria; grandchildren Stephen (Julia) Northrup; Raena Northrup; Micah Vervoort; Eva Vervoort; four sisters in Holland. She was predeceased by a twin brother, her youngest brother and a sister who had all lived in Holland.
Should family and friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
