NOTICE OF DISPOSITION BY WAY OF LEASE AND PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE
In accordance with Section 26 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Chilliwack intends to lease its 0.297 hectare property located at 46195 Fifth Avenue (the “Property”), legally described as PID: 031-888-755, Lot 1 Division “E” New Westminster District Plan EPP125490, to the Chilliwack Search and Rescue Society (the “Society”) for a term of 50 years.
In accordance with Section 24 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Chilliwack intends to provide assistance to the Society in the form of a lease being granted at less than market value at an annual rental amount of $1.00 and further, in exchange for the Society providing the City search and rescue services, to enter into aPartnering Agreement to fund the costs associated with operating and maintaining a new building to be constrncted by the Society on the Property.
