They walked, they ran, they wheeled, they danced, they jogged with a dog, and they walked while tossing a rugby ball on Sunday afternoon.
It was all part of Day 264 of the Rick Hansen Relay which rolled through Chilliwack and stopped at Heritage Park on Sunday afternoon.
The relay, which started in Newfoundland on Aug. 24, 2011, is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Rick Hansen's Man in Motion World Tour. The relay features more than 7,000 participants who carried and passed along a medal, one person at a time, by walking, running, wheeling, and more across Canada.
The event ends on Day 273 in Vancouver on Monday, May 21.
Funds raised from the relay will go toward spinal cord research.
