The youth-led Mats for a Cause now has four drop-off locations in Chilliwack for anyone who can donate clean plastic bags.

Alexis Stollings, 16, led the charge with a plan to weave sleeping mats for the homeless with fellow members of the Chilliwack Youth Advisory Committee, as a way to give back to the community.

“It is amazing all the support our community has generated, from East Vancouver to Hope and even getting support all the way from Alberta,” Stollings posted in a recent update.

With the latest COVID-19 rules they are now searching for industrial space to give the young people a location to safely cut and weave the bags into mats.

Anyone who knows of such a space the youth could work in can send a direct message on Facebook to Alexis Stollings or on Instagram @mats_for_a_cause_chilliwack

Here are the four drop-off locations:

• Stó:lō Nation - 7201 Vedder Road, Building 7

• Kirkwood Kitchens - 46192 Fifth Avenue

• 44656 Connaught Place

• Aura Crystals and Oddities - 4724 Teskey Road
