The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has concluded that there are no suspicious circumstances involving the discovery of human remains in a car fire in Abbotsford early Sunday morning (Dec. 5).

“An autopsy was completed and the cause of death at this time is determined to be non-suspicious,” IHIT said in a press release Wednesday morning (Dec. 8).

The agency said a “detailed investigation” was completed by homicide investigators assisted by the Abbotsford Police Department’s major crime detectives and forensic identification section, as well as the BC Coroners Service.
