Agassiz-Harrison is bracing for impact as more heavy rain is descending on the Fraser Valley.

Due to heavy rain, the Village of Harrison Hot Springs has once again asked residents to limit unnecessary water use such as laundry and dishwashing until systems are back under normal operation. Village officials ask residents not to discharge storm water into the sewer system.

The Miami Greenway in Harrison remains closed due to high water levels.

Harrison and the District of Kent continue to be under states of local emergency.

DriveBC reports Highway 7 remains open for essential travel only betwen Mission and Hope. Checkpoints are in place, and restrictions are enforced with possible fines up to $230. Drivers should expect delays due to congestion.

Highway 1 between Bridal Falls Road to 5 kilometres east of Hope is closed due to heavy rainfall forecasts and risk of debris flow. There is no current estimated time for reopening.
