Gaetz goes unchallenged in Chilliwack

No one is contesting the mayoralty seat in Chilliwack.

Only incumbent Mayor Sharon Gaetz filed nomination papers by the 4 p.m. deadline, city officials confirmed late Friday afternoon.

A total of 21 candidates are vying for for a seat on city council, while 24 are seeking election as school trustees.
