The person behind the wheel of a black SUV is being sought for questioning after Chilliwack RCMP learned of a pedestrian down on Sunday afternoon.
A black SUV type vehicle reportedly failed to stop at a crosswalk and struck the man, sending him to hospital.
The pedestrian had been walking along Yale Road, crossing at the crosswalk near the Petro-Pass and Travel Lodge at about 1:30 p.m.
He told police he saw a black SUV approaching the intersection, and the driver then failed to stop for him. The pedestrian suffered minor scrapes and bruises from the collision.
The vehicle could be a black Mazda Tribute or a black Honda Pilot with B.C. plates, according to the police report.
"This happened on a bright suuny day and we are hoping that someone saw the incident occur," said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck.
