City of Chilliwack closing section of Elk View Road for two days

Flooding erosion is the cause of the closure, though local traffic will still be able to get through

A stretch of Elk View Road will be closed Thursday and Friday (Dec. 2-3) as City of Chilliwack crews work on flood repair.

Starting at 7 a.m. the road will be shut down from the three-way stop to upper Ryder Lake Road, limited to local traffic only.

A picture sent out with a City of Chilliwack tweet Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 1) shows land at the side of the road has been eroded by water, exposing the underside of the asphalt.

Updates on Elk View Road and other closures are posted online at chilliwack.com/floodwatch
