A Chilliwack Realtor who was in Texas for a football game and was reported missing died in a fatal car crash.

Aaron Tschritter and one other man died in an early-morning crash when the vehicle they were in hit an electric pole on Thursday, Nov. 25 on the Good Latimer Expressway in Dallas, Texas.

“Heading home today empty handed. The love of my life was in a fatal car accident in Dallas Texas trying to get back to his hotel,” his wife Melissa Tschritter wrote on Facebook on Saturday, Nov. 27.

Aaron Tschritter travelled to the United States this week to take in an American Thanksgiving Day National Football League game.

The 29-year-old was supposed to meet up with a group of friends at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, but he never showed.

Aaron’s father, Richard, said his son was in a BMW when the collision happened.

“I believe the driver was showing Aaron what his car could do and unfortunately the results were fatal,” Richard said. “I would like to thank all for their help in trying to locate my son.”

Aaron was a local realtor with Century 21, and has a young son.

“I appreciate everyone who has reached out, shared and helped in any capacity during this time,” Melissa said. “Please pray for us and especially our little boy who has just lost his daddy.”

The family is asking for privacy at this time.
