Chilliwack RCMP seek public’s help to locate missing woman

The RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance to locate a woman missing since Sunday.

Shawna Leigh Cornish, 23, of Chilliwack was last seen Jan. 21 by caregivers in the 45000-block of Menholm Road near Chilliwack General Hospital.

Shawna is described as: Caucasian female; height 168 centimetres (5’6”); weight 57 kilograms (126 lbs); brown hair and brown eyes.

This isn’t the first time Cornish has gone missing as she was the subject of an RCMP alert in April 2017.

As RCMP investigators continue to search for Shawna they are asking the public to remain watchful for her.

“Police and caregivers are concerned for Shawna’s well-being and believe she may be in need of medical attention,” RCMP spokesperson said Cpl. Mike Rail.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shawna Leigh Cornish is urged to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
