A car went backwards and crashed into a house in Garrison Crossing after an elderly female driver suffered a seizure on Tuesday.

The woman was backing out of her garage at the corner of Cowichan Street and Tamihi Way when she suffered the seizure. Her vehicle continued to move backwards and across the street, before plowing into the side of a house on Cowichan.

No one was seriously injured as a result, but the woman was taken to hospital.
