Dog killed in hit-and-run

Chilliwack RCMP are looking for a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run last Tuesday night.

At 9:45 p.m. a 51 year old man was walking his dog, crossing Hodgins Avenue at the Corbould Street lights next to the Landing Leisure Centre. A grey pickup truck turning from Hodgins onto Corbould hit the man and his dog.

The truck continued on without stopping.

The man suffered minor injuries. His dog was seriously injured and was put down by a veterinarian.

Anyone with info is asked to call the RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers (anonymously) at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
