Man stabbed on First Avenue

Paramedics tend to a man after he was stabbed in the thigh on Wednesday afternoon on First Avenue.

One man was stabbed following a fight on First Avenue in Chilliwack near Nowell Street at around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A fight broke out between the victim and another man (pictured below) when a third man entered the fight with a knife.

The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended by RCMP a short distance away on Princess Avenue and taken into custody.

The victim was stabbed in his left thigh. Paramedics tended to him as he sat on the front step of a house on First Avenue. The man was later taken to hospital.
