'Targeted' shooting in Chilliwack, RCMP say

Shots fired in the Cleveland Avenue and Fletcher Street area of Chilliwack early Thursday morning was likely a targeted shooting, Chilliwack RCMP officials say.

"There were no serious injuries," Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth said in a news release.

But no other details were being released as the police investigation continues, she said.

Police responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area near downtown Chilliwack at about 3:30 a.m.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
