A 53-year-old Chilliwack woman with medical issues is still missing nearly two weeks after last being seen near her home at Watson and Vedder Road.

Laverne Hazel Vetters is 5'9" tall, 150 pounds, with long grey hair and blue eyes.

"This behaviour is very unusual for Laverne and we are really concerned for her safety right now," said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck.  "Of particular concern is that Laverne has not returned  home to feed or look after her dog that she is very attached to."  Laverne has also missed health care appointments and has not taken required medication since her disappearance.  Police are looking for anyone who may have information regarding Laverne and are encouraged to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604 792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
