'Serious assault' in downtown Chilliwack: RCMP
Chilliwack RCMP are looking for witnesses to a "serious assault" that took place in downtown Chilliwack just after midnight Friday.
Police said the 18-year-old victim was in the Nowell Street area at about 1 a.m. when a "brief scuffle" took place with the suspect.
"This is a very serious assault and we are looking for any witnesses who may have been in the downtown area during this time," RCMP Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.
The victim was in hospital in stable condition on Friday.
