Hit-and-run truck driver sought by RCMP
Chilliwack RCMP are asking for public help locating the driver of a large grey Dodge diesel truck that left the scene of an accident Saturday night on Chilliwack Lake Road.
Police said the accident resulted in minor injuries to the victim, but significant damage to her vehicle.
The woman had stopped for wildlife on the road at about 8:45 p.m.
Witnesses in the 45500-block of Chilliwack Lake Road reported hearing a loud crash as the truck slammed into the back of the car.
The truck failed to remain at the scene of the accident.
Anyone who witnessed the accident, or has information about the truck driver, is asked to cal the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
