Jewelry stolen from car parked at Cottonwood Mall
Chilliwack RCMP are looking for witnesses to a theft of jewelry from a car parked in the Cottonwood Mall last Thursday.
A new white Ford Mustang 2-door convertible with a black top was broken into between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. The car with a Budget Rent A Car sticker on the bumper was parked on the south side of the mall between Earls restaurant and Starbucks.
"At this point, we are hoping someone in the area at the time of the theft may have seen something that could be helpful to our investigation," RCMP Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth said.
"This is a reminder not to leave valuables in your vehicle, to be aware of your surroundings and to report suspicious activity," she said.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious at the mall at the time of the theft is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
