Cat dies in trailer fire

A fire in the kitchen of a single-wide manufactured home in the 45000-block Watson Road Wednesday claimed the life of the family cat.

The owners were not home when the fire broke out at about 3:25 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is considered accidental.

Fire damage is limited to the kitchen area, with smoke damage to the rest of the trailer.

When firefighters arrived they saw smoke coming from the trailer, and when they entered found a fire burning in the kitchen area.

The fire was extinguished with no firefighter injuries.
