Husky stolen from Chilliwack SPCA shelter
A dog has been stolen - from the SPCA shelter in Chilliwack.
The four-year-old Siberian Husky named Yukon was slated for adoption on Aug. 8.
But on Aug. 6 staff arrived at the facility on Hopedale Road to find one of the outdoor shelters broken into - and Yukon nowhere in sight.
"The SPCA are primarily concerned for the welfare of Yukon, that he is in a good home and is being taken care of," RCMP Cpl. Len vanNieuwenhuizen said.
He said Yukon was found as a stray on the Agassiz Bridge on Aug. 2 and taken to the SPCA shelter.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
