Missing Chilliwack teen found in Nanaimo

Douglas Banman, a 16-year-old Chilliwack teen missing since May 7, has been found safe and sound in Nanaimo.

Chilliwack RCMP say Banman contacted the Nanaimo RCMP detachment when he learned family and friends were concerned about his whereabouts.

Banman was last seen by friends at Sardis Secondary school at about 10 a.m. on May 7 after saying he was going to Nanaimo or to Calgary to find work.

Banman was reported missing and an RCMP search began.
