Arson suspected in three Chilliwack fires
Three separate fires within two hours early Tuesday are believed by RCMP officials to be arsons.
A garage was set on fire on Margaret Avenue at about 1:40 a.m., and at 3:20 a.m. police were called to a bush fier on Coventry Place. At 3:32 a.m. another bush fire was reported at the corner of McIntosh Avenue and Hocking Avenue.
"In both bush fire incidences, the bushes were in very close proximity to a building or structure," Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.
"Although the damage in these three cases was minimal the potential is enormous if they continue," she said.
The RCMP investigation continues.
