Abandoned Chilliwack house damaged by fire

A fire at an abandoned house on Prest Road near Chilliwack Central Road was damaged by fire Tuesday night.

Firefighters arrived on scene shortly after 11 p.m. to find the house fully engulfed in flames.

Crews completed a search of the house and found no one inside.

Several 9-1-1 calls came in from passing motorists and neighbours. One neighbour stated the house was at least 60 years old.
