Bank robbery suspects in custody

Two suspects in the July robbery of a Bank of Montreal branch on Vedder Road in Chilliwack have been arrested.

Details of the arrest were not immediately available.

But police said Ryan Therrien, 23, of West Kelowna, and Calvin David, 24, are both in custody pending court hearings.

Police believe a third man was involved in the July 8 robbery, and an investigation continues.

Two men wearing bandanas over their faces entered the bank located at 6640 Vedder Rd. just after noon, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a white GMC Safari van that police believe was driven by a third suspect.

The van was located later, unoccupied, on Lickman Road.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP serious crime unit at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
