Thief hits seven vehicles at Chilliwack apartment

Seven vehicles parked at The Vibe apartments had their windows smashed and items stolen by a thief sometime overnight Saturday.

Chilliwack RCMP were called to the apartment complex at 45555 Yale Road at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

"Items stolen included wallets with identification and credit cards, a portable DVD player, a CD player, and an iPod, to name a few," RCMP Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth said in a news release.

She said the building's security was notified, and police continue their investigation.

"We are hoping that someone may have information that would be helpful to identify the suspect in this case," she said.

"This is a reminder not to leave valuables in your vehicles," she added.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
