More glass found on school playground
Glass has once again been found at the Watson elementary school playground.
A concerned parent whose son received a small scrape on the playground slide called police on Saturday after more glass shards were found hidden on the playground bridge.
A similar incident was reported to police on June 26.
"The glass in these cases was not there by accident, there appears to be definite intent to injure children using the playground," RCMP Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.
"It's really difficult to speculate as to why a person would be motivated to harm children," she said. "This is a high priority for us, and a big concern."
Police are urging parents to check out any playground where they are taking their children to play.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
